Zhao Changjun International Wushu Summer Camp 2010 is a 30-day residential summer program for US students age 8 and older. Based at Zhao Changjun Wushu Academy, this summer program combines the strength of authentic Wushu training with the benefits of studying and living in one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, Xi’an. Students will be learning Wushu as well as Chinese language and Chinese art and crafts, visiting famous historic places in both Beijing and Xi’an. This camp will be a unique Wushu and Chinese culture learning opportunity for all participants.
Dates: 8/1/2010 – 8/30/2010 Location: Beijing and Xi’an Class size: 30 (Age 8 and above) Activities:
Schedule: Morning of Monday- Friday: Basic Wushu Skills; Traditional Wushu routine Eagle Claw Boxing, Dagger Afternoon of Monday- Friday: Chinese, Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, paper-cut Soccer, basketball, badminton, Chinese Chess, swimming, Karaoke Saturday and Sunday Field trips to historic places in Xi’an: Fee: $1980 including registration fee, activities inside China, lodging, meals, tuition, travel inside China, tickets, uniform (2 T-shirts, 1 pair of Kung Fu pants) and a pair of daggers, tips for drivers, travel insurance inside China Not including flight tickets from Newark to Xi’an, personal spending and costs of attending Hong Kong International Wushu Competition. $80 discount for early registration by 3/15/2010 $200 discount for participants from last year Lodging: In Beijing: 3-start hotel In Xi’an: Student dorm in Zhao Changjun Wushu Academy(4 people per room, air-conditioned, 24-hour dedicated onsite management) Costs of Hong Kong International Wushu Competition: $1280 (optional, only apply to those who participate the Hong Kong International Wushu Competition) Including round trip tickets from Xi’an to Hong Kong, registration fee, competition fee, special training, photography/video, lodging and meals in Hong Kong.
