Zhao Changjun Wushu Academy was founded in Xi'an China in 1991 by the greatest Wushu master of all time, Zhao Changjun. It is a full-time boarding school that teaches academic subjects as well as traditional and contemporary martial art. Since its inception, over 5000 students have been trained in the institute, including hundreds of international students. The students have won over 200 medals and participated in the production of dozens of Kung Fu movies. The Institute has hosted numerous international Wushu teams. The General Administration of Sports of China awarded it the National Top Martial Art Institute. In 2007, Zhao came to the United States to start the Institute's first oversea branch in New Jersey. It is Zhao's goal to preserve and propagate the Wushu tradition and to share with the US community the values and benefits of Wushu training. As such, the New Jersey Branch provides classes in authentic Chinese Wushu within a comprehensive and extensive program for men, women, and children of all ages and initial skill levels. Zhao Changjun was the all-around Chinese National Champion for 10 consecutive years; Nobody has broken the record so far. In Wushu circles, it is said that the 70s belonged to Jet Li, but the 80s belonged to Zhao. Zhao is also a world's renowned Wushu coach, with more than 20 years of experience coaching professional Wushu teams in China and multiple national teams of foreign countries, such as Japan, Malaysia, Italy, Switzerland.
